How can you not smile when you see this beautiful face?
This last year we have seen so much improvement with Sawyer's ability to
communicate and interact. When someone comes to our house he will make
it a point for them to notice him. He takes his PODD book to them and
takes there finger and insist on them saying every icon he points to. He
also is doing amazing using his iPad that has his PODD book programed on it. He loves going to peoples pictures to request them, he has mastered saying
hello and goodbye. The other day he wasn't feeling well and I didn't
know what to do for him. He took me to his PODD book and requested to
have medicine! I cannot tell you how proud this made me to know that he
can not only have his wants met through communicating, but he can also
have his needs met. One other funny thing he likes to tell me is that it is stinky whenever I put oils on him.
