Coming Home

Bundled up and ready to go home.Spencer was so excited to have a big brother and sister that he got them presents. Sadie got a Batman game for her leapster and the look on her face was priceless. Sawyer got a new therapy brush and he loved playing with it. I was really worried how the kids would handle having another child in the house. Hence the gifts from brother. The first thing Sadie said when we walked in the door was "Is he cute?" After we got cleaned up and washed our hands. We got little Spencer out of the car seat. Sadie held him for a minute. She examined him and looked at his tiny hands and ears. She said "He has small hands and ears and I have big hands and ears." I thought Sawyer wouldn't care much about the baby or even notice him, but boy was I wrong. Grandma Llama knelt down in front of Sawyer while holding Spencer. I stood Sawyer up to Spencer and was amazed at the look in Sawyers eyes. It was as if he was saying "I have been waiting for you". Then he made his little "aaaa" sound to say hi to Spencer. I couldn't believe the light in his eyes. He knew that Spencer was coming and he had bonded with him long before we ever had. No wonder he enjoyed laying on my belly every night. It gave me the reassurance that this is Heavenly Father's plan for our family. We are meant to have these precious little spirits in our home.
Sadie has been very entertaining since the baby has gotten home. She told me "Mom I want my nother brother to bring me the Wall-E game" I asked her "What nother brother?" She responded with "The one in your belly".
Then I was sitting on the couch and she asked me "Mom do you have a nother baby in your belly?" I told her no. She said "Are you going to have another baby in your belly soon?" I told her I hope not. Then she said "Mom, I want 10 brothers!" Ben asked her if she wanted any sisters and she told Ben "Mommy doesn't want any girls". I told her she can have 1o boys when she grows up.
